Digitalne mikrovalne veze, osim digitalnih podataka koje prenose, koriste i drugačije modulacijske tehnike koje im omogućavaju prijenos podataka većeg kapaciteta te veću robusnost u odnosu na vremenske neprilike i feding. Kod projektiranja sustava digitalnih mikrovalnih veza često se radi proračun veze samo u odnosu na propagaciju elektromagnetskih valova u zemljinoj atmosferi, dok se raspoloživost uređaja i opreme ne uzima u obzir. U ovom radu izložene su i pouzdanosti i raspoloživosti uređaja, te njihov utjecaj na digitalnu mikrovalnu vezu u cjelini. Pri tom su zanemareni utjecaji okoline na uređaje i sustav u cjelini. U radu je izložen proračun raspoloživosti digitalne mikrovalne veze u donosu na propagaciju elektromagnetskih valova u zemljinoj atmosferi. U proračunu ukupne raspoloživosti uzeti su u obzir i pouzdanost i raspoloživost sustava napajanja i digitalnih mikrovalnih veza različitih konfiguracija. - Ključne riječi: Digitalna mikrovalna veza, pouzdanost, raspoloživost, proračun digitalne mikrovalne veze, vjerojatnost ispada veze, feding, prostiranje u slobodnom prostoru, gušenje zbog plinova u atmosferi, gušenje zbog kiše.Summary: In the past, microwave links were designed as analogue, while today they are mainly digital. Digital microwave links are different in respect to analogue ones, not only by nature of data they are transmitting, but also with respect to different modulation techniques that they are applying. Digital modulation techniques provide transmission of greater amount of data per second, and provide greater robustness due to propagation effects in communication channel. When calculating the reliability of microwave link, often only link budget is taken into account, while availability of equipment is not considered. In this thesis, reliability and availability of equipment are also taken into account, and their impact on characteristics of digital microwave link. In this consideration, the impact of environment is not taken into account. The link budget due to propagation in Earth atmosphere, is shown in this thesis.
