LTE mreža je dizajnirana s ciljem povećanja kapaciteta i brzine u mobilnoj telefoniji. Budući da uvođenjem LTE mreže mobilni operatori prelaze na potpuno paketsku infrastrukturu temeljenu na internetskom protokolu (IP), nova mreža ne podržava naslijeđene govorne i SMS usluge temeljene na komutaciji kanala (SS7). Standardizacija u okviru projekta 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) predviđa nekoliko rješenja koja za cilj imaju lakši prelazak na novu LTE mrežu, uz što manji utjecaj na postojeću mrežnu infrastrukturu. Takva rješenja su Circuit Switched (CS) fallback i Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (SRVCC). U radu se analiziraju prednosti ovih rješenja za telekomunikacijske operatore, kao i utjecaj na postojeću mrežu. Također se analizira uspostava poziva i slanje SMS poruka u simuliranoj okolini te karakteristike uspostave poziva kada se korisnik kreće u LTE domeni, u odnosu na GERAN/UTRAN domenu. - KLJUČNE RIJEČI: CS fallback, SRVCC, LTE, glasovni poziv, SMS, E-UTRAN, jezgrena mrežaSummary: Long Term Evolution (LTE) of 3rd generation networks represents a crucial step towards the implementation of 4th generation networks (4G). LTE network is designed with intention to increase transmission speed and capacity in mobile networks. Since LTE introduction implies introducing a complete IP-based packet switched infrastructure in the operator's network, there is no more support for legacy circuit-switched services based on SS7 signaling, like Voice and SMS. 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standardization introduces several solutions for smooth operator's transition towards the LTE networks. Solutions which address Voice and SMS services are Circuit Switched (CS) fallback and Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (SRVCC). This thesis analyzes advantages of the mentioned solutions for telecom operators, as well as their impact to the existing network. Call establishment and SMS sending shall be analyzed in simulated environment, with an emphasis on call characteristics when user is roaming in LTE domain vs. user roaming in GERAN/UTRAN domain. - KEYWORDS: CS fallback, SRVCC, LTE, voice call, SMS, E-UTRAN, core network
